Yen
Artist, Mama
Hi, I’m Yenim.
Art has always been my passion. I graduated from fashion school, but before that, I had to complete rigorous training in drawing and painting to even qualify for design school in Korea. That foundation shaped everything I do today.
After moving to the U.S., I began painting watercolor portraits—capturing emotion and character through delicate brushwork. In 2023, I made the bold decision to chase my long-held dream of becoming a tattoo artist. I left my kids for three months to study under a renowned tattoo mentor in Korea, and that experience changed my life.
Though I’m relatively new to tattooing, my years of art training helped me find my path in realism quickly. I’ve always loved drawing people and capturing their essence. Today, my specialty is realism, and I’m continuing to evolve my style by blending it with surreal and two-dimensional elements for a more dreamlike, story-driven approach. I’ve also discovered joy in creating fine-line floral pieces, and I love how much people resonate with those delicate designs.
As a mom of four, tattooing has been both healing and empowering for me. It got me through hard times, and for that reason, I’m passionate about giving back. I offer free nipple tattoos for breast cancer survivors who’ve had mastectomies—my small way of supporting those on their own journeys of healing.
I truly love what I do, and I’m so grateful for every person who’s supported me along the way. I can’t wait to collaborate and create something beautiful with you.
